Figurine - Artifacts

Description
Set of eleven hand-modelled brown clay figurines with "Hong Kong" stamped in orange ink on the bottom. The figures portray robed Buddhist (?) monks and peasants. Traces of brown paint on each figure. Thirteen pieces include two meads which have become detached from figures. A. Robed man of mottled light and dark brown clay standing and holding an alms bowl (?) in his right hand with left hand behind his back. Knotted hair and shoes painted brown. B. Robed man of mottled light and dark brown clay standing and holding a lotus leaf umbrella in his right hand with left hand behind his back. The lotus leaf is molded from gray clay. Knotted hair and shoes painted brown. C. Robed man of mottled light and dark brown clay standing and holding a conch shell is his right hand with left hand behind his back. The fan is molded from gray clay. Knotted hair and shoes painted brown. D. Robed man of dark brown clay standing and holding a cup in his right hand with left hand behind his back. The cup is molded from mottled gray clay. Knotted hair and shoes painted brown. E. Robed man of mottled light and dark brown clay standing and holding a book in his right hand with left hand behind his back. The book is molded from gray clay. Knotted hair and shoes painted brown. F. Peasant figure of dark brown clay standing with bundle of twigs in left hand at shoulder. The head has become detached from the body. The man's hat and bundle are made from white clay. He wears a tunic and pair of shorts. The shorts are painted dark brown. G. Robed man of mottled light and dark brown clay standing and holding a fan in his right hand with left hand behind his back. The fan is molded from gray clay. Knotted hair and shoes painted brown. The head has become detached from the body. H. Peasant figure of dark brown clay standing with a hat or umbrella slung over the left shoulder. Probably a woman. The hat is molded made from white clay. She wears a shirt and long pants. Hair and shoes are painted dark brown. I. Peasant figure of dark brown clay standing and possibly doing t'ai chi. He wears a white hat and has a white beard. He wears a tunic and shorts painted dark brown. J. Seated robed man of dark brown clay holding a bowl in right hand. Right shoulder is uncovered, left hand is entwined in robed. Seated with legs crossed and visible shoe painted dark brown. K. Seated peasant figure of dark brown clay holding a pipe in his left hand. He wears a white hat and has a white beard. He wears a tunic and shorts painted dark brown.
