Embroidery Panel - Artifacts

Description
Hand embroidered flower blossoms and grass on stiff, white silk or polyesther panel. The blossoms are pink and white with several shades of green thread for branches, leaves, and grasses. Satin and chain stitched, primarily, with some knots. In the upper left are three strings of Chinese characters. The edges of the panel are finished with a simple hem stitch of white thread. At the bottom is a horizontal crease caused by a long term fold. According to a cataloge record started in the past but never finished, the calligraphy reads "A summer day in the sixth year of MinGuo" (Nationalist Government) (summer 1917). Embroidered by "Shi, Shen-Fen at chang Ping Girl's School".
