Powders - Artifacts

Description
Lidded cardboard box containing red powder in wrapping paper. Rectangular shaped lid has straight sides which extend to bottom of the box and is covered with brown shinny paper with gold design on top in the center printed in gold and blue "Kranz Koffee Bean bon bons" The printing on one side of the box indicate the company is in Chicago. Copyright is 1931. Bottom of box covered with white shinny paper. Inside the box a pinkish red powder is wrapped first in wax paper and then in double layer of brown paper which has Chinese characters written in black ink. These translate as "Horse tooth Powder" . The original pink and gold paper lines the bottom of the candy box.
