Kimono - Artifacts

Women's informal kimono Long body with medium length sleeves and rounded corners open on the side near the body. Small wrist openings. Wide straight band collar extending half way down he front. Which has extensions for over lapping. The collar has a doublelayer around the neck line acting as reinforcement. The kimono is made of short fiber, silk fabric, woven in vertical bands of reddish brown graduating from light to dark. The weave has a pale brown variegated grid pattern resembling a plaid. (Possibly Tsumugi)? The fabric has a random supplementary weft pattern of pink, blue, black and silver roses. The collar is lined with plain weave silk which has turned pink after washing. The center back seam allowances has been bound with a purple silk and the kimono is hand stitched. There is no lining. On the inner collar at the back is a knotted silk thread loop which indicates the collar is meant to be folded in half length wise.
