Underclothing - Artifacts

Description
Nagajuban Under collar bodice with sleeves White cotton gauze bodice that has a tuck at the shoulders. Long sleeve lined red and white silk crepe sleeves are attached at the shoulders to the white gauze. The sleeves a have konoko shibori design of squarish white dots in the shape of very large folding fans. A white cotton straight band collar extends almost to the bottom of the bodice and has a strip of red silk crepe stitched over the upper part of the collar. On top of this is a double layer of light pink silk covering most of the red crepe. The garment is hand stitched, the bodice and collar are quite discolored. This under bodice was probably worn by a young girl.
