Jacket (hanten) - Artifacts

Description
Hanten Jacket for Festival Wear The jacket is made of rayon which has been printed with turquoise blue dye as a background and a red and white rope shape extending around the hip area. In the center of the back is a large Japanese character in red and white. The jacket has a straight black collar which extends to the bottom. Is resist dyed with two sets of Japanese characters on the upper section. The sleeves are straight with an opening near the body and the wrist section is lined with brown silk crepe that has a white diamond design. Inside the back neck is a white round cloth which protects the jacket from soiling. Next to this is a label which has been woven with washing instructions and "Matsuriya Co. Ltd., Made in Japan" . The jacket is hand stitched.
