Skirt - Artifacts

Description
Women's Chinese apron skirt Wei Ch'un Wei Chun or in Cantonese kwun. The skirt is maroon damask silk with front and back panels and 20 Embroidered tie panels on each side. The bottom hem is stitched and embroidered with longevity symbols of gourds, Buddhist knots, butterflies and flowers. Each main panel has an imbroidered image of a girl on a bridge and varous water scenes surrounded by gold thread. The waist band is cotton with a loop on each side. The interior is green silk.
