Female Chinese Cantonese wire rod puppet. Head is molded clay, solid torso of wood, cloth upper arms and legs and carved wooden forearms, hands, lower legs and feet. Cloth covered shoes. Operated from behind with rods extending horizontally from the puppet's waist and hands. Head is a separate piece. Female has white face, painted black hair, teal silk gown with embroidered design. Stamped on the bottom of her foot is "CHINA"
