Machete - Artifacts

Description
Weapon is 17.875" (45.5 cm) overall. Blade is 2.75" (7 cm) at widest point. Blade and handle are forged of the same piece of steel, with handle end flattened then formed into a tube. Four woven fibre bands provide handle grips. Scabbard is a shaped board 17.5" (44.5 cm) long and 3.5" (9 cm) wide. It has an arched wooden bridge for the handle to rest on (held in place with a woven fibre band) plus a strip of cotton to secure the handle to the scabbard; the cord is attached to a rattan ring on the scabbard. There is a fibrous loop (for attaching to a belt?), and holes where a second such loop may have been attached.
