Description
White horse doll on black wooden stand. Horse is made of papier mache with mane and tail of white coarse fiber. The saddle and stirrup are made of wood painted black with some red on the stirrup. The halter is coral-colored tape with orange tassels. The vein is blue and white fabric. the horse's trappings are red fringe. Brocade goes over the saddle and also under it hanging down the length of the stirrup. The white horse is a symbol of valor and endurance. Tango no Seika is the name for the Boy's Day Festival.
