Description
Early Showa Period (1926-1989) Meisen silk kosode kimono of ikat abstract design. Furisode kimono of silk ikat pattern of different sizes of rectangles in light gray, dark gray, peach, red with black borders. One rectangle is patterned in colors of orange, maroon, off-white, yellow, red and black. Upper lining is white cotton, lower lining is peach silk crepe. Sleeves are lined in white cotton with peach silk banding. Meisen: reeled silk, comparatively rough and strong kosode: short sleeve kimono
