Description
White cotton Yukata kimono and belt with blue print pattern. (a) The long robe opens in the front and closes with the belt (b). The pattern includes chrysanthemums, iris, bush cloves, bamboo, willow, a flowing stream and a house. The pattern runs up and down, it first mirrors itself and then repeats. The robe is machine sewn and has a tag at the neck: Made in Japan. There are several spots around the neck where the blue has run into the white probably due to water or washing. The yukata is used as a summer kimono or as a bath- robe. (b) The belt is made of the same fabric and is double thickness. It has two pieces sewn together to get the desired length. The blue has run into the white in some places.
