Hat - Artifacts

Description
Tate eboshi hat in metallic gray colour, made of papier mache with rough crepe finish. Painted matte black interior. High crown called "mine" (ridge); front top protrudes forward and creased; opening narrows to a point in back. Purple silk cord with fringes at the ends threaded through the two metal rings connected to floral metal bosses which are pierced through the hat at both front sides. Samuari dolls or dolls depicting noblemen wear this type of hat.
