Grass skirt used as part of a costume for Hula dancing. A type of dried vegetal material of golden color tied in place by twisted grass cord with a tassel (6 1/2" long) of grass dyed blue and purple. Across the top of the skirt the grass is lapped over the twisted cord and held in place with green stitched grass. Also held in place along the top are blue and purple dyed strands of the vegetal material which are knotted (macrame) in a pattern for about 7" hanging down over the grass skirt.
