Basketry diagonally woven dance skirt of palm? fiber which is split into 2 or 3 pieces and woven back on itself so that three edges are finished and the 4th edge has the wider start fibers extending down to create the bottom of the skirt. Along the bottom of the skirt are feathers predominantly blue, some red, white and green inserted into the weaving. The name "Via Via Maui'a is written in black ink near the top. The skirt is folded in half and then in thirds.
