Description
Family Association calligraphy Sign Black sumi ink on off white habutai silk. There are four large Chinese characters across the center horizontally. This may mean: "Care and Peace for my Fellows and friends". On the left are two columns of characters with a set of two characters above and below the columns. There is a single column of characters on the right side. The Lee Family Association and the Lee & Duen Tsong Association in San Francisco gave this to the Ning Young Assocaition for their opening. The front is covered with plain glass. The frame is carved wood with a narrow raised inner band and a wider raised outer band. The raised portion and the center of the flat section is painted gold with two black strips on either side. The back is covered with black paper as dust protection. There are two screw eye with plain wire running across between them. Condition: Silk appears to be water stained on the edges in a few places. The frame and glass are dirty.
