Carved Figure - Artifacts

Description
Carved wooden figure in the style of Itto - Bori Figure is carved of one piece in the middle back has been cut to create a curved feather effect. The figure appears to represent a rural person with a cone shaped hat, a rain cape, kimono style jacket and striped pants, monpei. The details are painted in red and black. There is a red square on the crown of the hat, red and black scalloped shape representing a scarf on the back of the head. Painted black facial features, red cross hatch design on jacket with red and black collar, red tie at waist with red bow in front. Red and black feet on a cylindrical base. The hole in the bottom indicates the figure was turned in a lathe.
