Description
Peacock Feather Fan Carved white ivory slats hold peacock feathers stitched together so the fan can be extended open. 18 peacock feathers ending in green and blue "eyes" are painted purple along the stalk and shorter feathers. The 14 middle feather designs of flowers and fruit and birds are painted in green, blue, orange, yellow and white. The thin bone slats are pierced with curving abstract designs, the two outer ones extend out toward the edge of the fan. The center slats are carved to stick into the quill of the feather. Slats are held with brass nail attached to small handle at bottom from which a tassel hangs. The fuschia and white tassel is hanging from two blue beads strung onto a beige cotton cord.
