Cardboard and metal canister of Potassium Sulfate. A: Cardboard cylinder covered by beige paper with "Merck" printed diagonally in small, faint, gray letters. Paper label on front: 1 lb - Potassium Sulfate Merck - N.F. VII Powder - This article conforms to the N.F. VII specifications. It is not included int ht ecurrent edition of the N.F. - K2SO4 Mol.Wt. 174.25 - Potassium sulfate is stable in the air. It is soluble in 10 parts of water at 25 degrees Celsius; insoluble in alcohol. The aqueous solution is neutral. Caution: For manufacturing, processing, or repacking; or for prescription compounding." B: Separate metal lid, circular with "Merck" and logo cross embossed on top.
