Vase, Moribana - Artifacts

Description
Wooden Vase used for Moribana Style Ikebana Flower Arrangements Shallow tray like vessel cut from pussy willow and shaped like a gourd. Wood has been varnished and the interior section is carved out and lined with copper which is solder aroud bottom edge. The donor stated that the wood slab was cut by her father from a pussy willow tree in a slanted fashion so that part of the root was included. The vase is copper lined so that it can be filled with water. and used for Moribana ( pilded up) Flower Arrangement. Natural grooves in the bottom have been filled with plaster and the entire bottom has been painted black . Black vinyl tape with white letters punched by machine "Made by Father late 1930, P.A. Uno" glued to bottom.
