Tea Caddy - Artifacts
Description
Lacquered Natsume Tea Caddy used when serving Usucha.
A: Bottom of caddy, bowl shaped with recessed rim which acommodates the lid, carved of wood with rounded bottom and coated with brownish - red lacquer.
B: Flat top, straight sides and rounded edges. The wood grain shows through the lacquer. The lid fits down over the top of the bottom.
