Description
Kutani Porcelain Horse Figurine of a porcelain prancing horse, three hoofs on base and front right leg in air, arched neck, looking down, partially opened mouth. Aqua blue body, yellow and brown mane, tail and hair above hooves. Saddle is painted ultramarine blue with two gray oandgreen diamond decorations in front and back trimmed with gold; decorative orange red with gold vine and chrysanthemum cloth drapes over saddle tied in a bow; yellow saddle pad beneath; long saddle blanket with key design in gold on orange/red around border, in center is gold diamond shapes with green and gray floral ground, gold, red and white flowers inside diamonds, H shaped black and gold trappings on back and under tail, yellow harness with X and circle design in orange and gold, hanging from harness are blue, orange and gold bells; brownish red and gold bridle. Black and white eyes, white teeth, gray textured hooves. Rectangular ultramarine blue base, unglazed bottom. Round gold label on bottom, in English "Trademark, Genuine Kutani, Made in Japan", in Japanese "Kutani" with merchant's insignia.
