Shawl - Artifacts

Description
A woven shawl of weft-faced cotton. It is salmon colored with mirror image stripes in groups of 3. There are 14 sets of stripes. The stripes are black, blue, green, pink, yellow, white, and deep salmon. There are 2" fringes at each end. The fringes feel coarse and are tangled together. The warp and weft is very distinct, making the cloth look ribbed. Donor's father collected a number of textiles white stationed in the Philippines as an Army officer c. 1900-1917.
