Black satin circular hat with turned up velvet brim. Orange cotton lining. Red string attached across top. Narrow, folded string of blue cotton fabric attached at each side on inside. Black velvet turned up brim. Inside of brim lined with black silk satin with rows of stitching around the bottom. Crown and sides of hat also black silk satin, stitching around the sides, and forming 8 wedge-shaped pieces on the top. At two places on the back, red thread is seen at back seam. From center top is twisted and knotted blue string. Inside is lined with orange cotton. A red string is attached across top. A narrow, folded string of blue cotton fabric is attached at each side on inside with knot at center of fabric string.
