Description
Qeej (Kheng), bamboo wooden harmonic instrument. Solo instrument played with other instruments, or with singing. Used during ceremonies and rituals only. Mainly used for funerals to safely guide departing souls to the ancestral spiritual world. Also played at weddings and new years celebrations. Used to communicate with the spiritual world. Dimensions: 59" wide x 31.5" tall x 4.25" deep. Also included are 3 small metal reefs, used to make sound in the qeej.
