Circa 1980?. Also called a Buk in Korea, is a variant of the Taegeuk, an ancient symbol which refers to the ultimate reality from which all things & values are derived. It has three colors which are known as "Samsaeg-ui Taeguek". Yellow represents humanity, red and blue refer to heaven & earth. This symbol also appears on the national Korean flag in a two color form. This Korean ceremonial drum is attached to a wooden stand that is brightly painted with a double dragon on top.
