Summary
The wartime experiences of Japanese Canadians was harsher than that of Japanese Americans but has received little attention. Families were serparated, possessions sold and commissions charged for the sales. Men were not allowed to enlist as officials were afraid if they fought they might be allowed to vote. Discusses the community's efforts to secure a charter of rights as part of the Canadian Constitution.
