This publication has been developed to serve three purposes. First, we want to introduce the basic ideas that form the framework for our grantmaking. Second, we wish to demostrate some ways in which asset building is making a difference in diverse contexts around the world. Finally, we'd like to share some of the lessons we have learned in using this approach.
