Summary
An annotated translation of "Diverse Records of Wooden Bridge" ("Panqiao Zaji") by the poet-essayist Yu Huai (1616-1696). Yu recorded how he and his associates amused themselves in the entertainment quarters of Nanjing, and how the collapse of the Ming dynasty brought about an abrupt end to their carefree pleasures.
