Volume LXXVII, No. 1, March 1977 This volume contains three articles: 1. "Dr Ada M. Weed: Northwest Reformer" by G. Thomas Edwards; 2. "Cutoff Fever, II" by Leah Collins Menefee and Lowell Tiller; and 3. "The Chinese in Oregon, c. 1870 - 1880 by P. Scott Corbett and Nancy Parker Corbett. This last is based on a demographic analysis of census records from three Oregon Counties (Clatsop, Multnomah, and Wasco), and is accompanied with nine photographs illustrating the life of the Chinese in 19th century Oregon.
