Green cloth covered book. The book opens right to left. The front has black scroll work design around the edges. At the top under a half sun in English is: "COMMERCIAL PRESS ENGLISH AND CHINESE PRONOUNCING POCKET DICTIONARY" Below this is a larger scroll design. On the spine is the same title in English with "Revised Edition" and then the title in Chinese. The original edition was printed in 1904. A piece of grey cardboard has been glued to the inside front cover. The cover page has a red stamp on it that reads: "CHINA" Below this in pencil is "8065690" Chinese characteristics were written in black ink but have been ripped off. The cover is wrinkled and worn. The back cover top corner has been folded back. The pages are yellowed along the edges.
