308 glass lantern slides with edges primarily bordered in black or red tape and wood box with lid. 94 are numered below. Slides A-AB, measure 3.5" x 3.5". Slides bordered with black tape include A-E, H-I, K; those bordered with pink F-E, J, L; those bordered with maroon N-O; and those bordered with red tape P-AB. Box lid H: 3". CQi: Wood box bottom with three wood panels inserted to divide interior into four sections. Brass colored metal handles screwed at either end so that they swivel, leather straps nailed into either end at bottom, one strap has a buckle at the end, the other is pierced to accommodate buckle. Exterior is painted black. Interior is lined with two strips of woolen felt. Dividing panels are lined with green wool. Two holes in the top edge of each end allows the lid to be fitted on. Written in pencil is "Hongkong Watertrans Country Temples S,727" perhaps to designate each section for certain types of slides. CQii: Wood box lid with woolen strip glued to interior. Exterior is painted black. Two wood pegs at each end fit into holes in box bottom. Written on the interior in pencil is "37 slides June 78"
