BACK IN GALLEY: Kenneth Erickson of Anchorage was handed a pan and jokingly told to get to work yesterday afternoon when he boarded the three-masted schooner Wawona. Erickson ws dishwasher on the vessel in 1947 on its last codfishing trip in the Bering Sea. Members of the S.O.S. (Save Our Ships) Committee urging Erickson on were from left, Chuck Ogrosky, City Councilman Wing Luke and John Ross. The ship, built in 1897, worked out of Seattle for many years. She is moored in Lake Union. the committee plans to recondition the Wawona as a floating museum, and perhaps even fit her out as a sailing museum.
