Description
IDEAS WANTED: A search for an official city flag began with inspection of an unofficial version donated to the city in 1943. From left - Frank McCaffrey, the donor, who had it made when he was on the city council; Councilman (councilmen) Wing Luke and A.L Kramer, and James E. Hussey, chairman of the Municipal Art Commission. McCaffrey is a member of the commission, which will consider ways to encourage flag designs, perhaps by a public contest. The 1943 flag has a profile of Chief Seattle in the center and dolphins in an outer circle.
