Description
Black and white photograph of a framed watercolor painting by Fay Chong. The frame lies just within the border of the photograph. The painting has a surrounding mat. The painting shows a rocky beach with indications of wood on the shore in the foreground and steep land formations, surrounded by water and topped by trees, in the middle ground. Two rows of Chinese characters with a stamp ending the left row lie in the upper right corner of the painting. The view painted by Chong is of James Island, near Lapush in the northwest corner of Washington State. The painting was made in conjunction with the 1961/62 film, "Chinese Ink and Watercolors," produced by Martin Moyer Productions, Seattle.
