Family threashing rice through machine in front of farm buildings. 5. woman on left with hand winnower pours rice into large threashing machine while others look on. 6. Women dressed in kimono are picking tea. Index paper gives explanation for each photo. Paper envelope shows picture of farming couple with sheaves in hand. kanji below. In red " Farmer Life" Above a colored picture of two people planting rice, in lower right corner "Selected Photographs coloured by hand."
