Black and white image Group portrait, men and boys, some in martial arts costume Tentoku Kan ca. 1940. taken after September 1939. Chuji Sakata is NOT in it, whereas Susumu Nitta IS in it. Sakata went to California in November 1938, while Nitta returned to Seattle from Japan in September 1939. If Tats Yorita is also in the photo , then the date would have to be after December 15, 1939, which is when Yorita returned to Seattle from Japan, but before October 1940, when he moved to Yakima. It is a beautiful dojo, in any case, and the photo is definitely Tentoku Kan. Web Exhibition: #348
