Description
Two black and white contact prints of Fay Chong. Top print shows Fay Chong, in a striped shirt, from behind, painting the image before him of a small cluster of islands with trees. Chong sits on a rocky beach with large logs in front of him. Bottom print shows a profile view of Chong, also in a striped shirt and shorts, seated on a rocky beach. He is painting. And there are logs behind him. These images were taken in conjunction with the 1961/62 film, "Chinese Ink and Watercolors," produced by Martin Moyer Productions, Seattle. The view painted by Chong is of James Island, near Lapush in the northwest corner of Washington State.
