Black and white photograph of Fay Chong. Fay Chong sits at a table. He is shown half-length. Chong wears a striped, long-sleeved, collar shirt. A pair of glasses in their case lie in his shirt pocket. Chong looks down as he paints on the paper before him. A tray with a brush and a black object and a shallow, small dish appear in the lower left corner of the photograph. Hanging on the wall behind Chong is a framed and matted landscape water- color painting, also painted by Chong. The painting shows steep land formations, surrounded by water and topped by trees, and a rocky beach. The framed painting in the background was created by Fay Chong. It shows James Island, near Lapush in the northwest corner of Washington State. The painting was made in conjunction with the 1961/62 film, "Chinese Ink and Watercolors," produced by Martin Moyer Productions, Seattle.
