Asian and Pacific Islander American Scholarship Fun

  • The Asian & Pacific Islander American Scholarship Fund (APIASF) is the nation’s largest 501c(3) non-profit organization that provides scholarships to Asian and Pacific Islander Americans (APIAs) with financial need. Based in Washington, DC, APIASF was formed in 2003.
  • I did this my senior year but did not realize my teacher had to make an account and asked them too late…Don’t make the same mistake! Contact teachers about recommendations as early as possible!!!

Tips

  • If you are a senior, make sure you fill out the Free Application for Student Aid (FAFSA).  FAFSA is essentially funds to pay for your college tuition depending on your parents’/guardian’s income. Though each university and community college has a deadline for when a FAFSA has to be submitted, try filling out the FAFSA in January!
  • For every grade: colleges will look most at your GPA; so study hard.  Volunteering is also very important, but you all have that down :D
