Jar - Artifacts

Description
One porcelain cricket container with detachable lid, decorated with floral motif. The bowl curves outward toward the top and is topped by a saucer-shaped lid with openwork decoration. Decorated with butterfly and flower motifs on a white background. Red stamp of maker on bottom. Lid has a gold painted rim. Hand-made. Probably also served as an incense burner. Store in San Francisco. Purchased in China c. 1950
