Yukata - Artifacts

Description
Small Child's cotton Yukata The robe is made of large squares of blue and white cotton pieced together to form a long body with short sleeves. The doubled collar is a straight band which runs tot he hem line and is reinforced around the neck line with another layer of fabric. There are tucks at the shoulder and an inner front and back yoke. Cotton squares include bright blue wisteria and bamboo fence design; a large white floral design decorated with dots and zig zaged lines on a bright blue background; white dragon fly design on dark blue; white fish and fish net design on bright blue; white blossom and stripe design on dark blue; white bows and stripes on dark blue; dark blue blossoms, water wheel and cart wheel design on white alternating with dark blue fringe design; white wisteria and pine design inside a blue square centered on a white background with blue stripes; Blue striped floral design on white back ground; similar design in purple and white. The upper collar has a blue on white design of wisteria, pinks and stripes. The lower collar has white blossoms on a dark blue back ground.
