Kimono - Artifacts

Description
Woman's formal Kimono Fine black silk crepe with Yuzen -zome dyed scene at the hem on the front and inside. The scene is divided into sections by cloud shapes and shows a treasure wagon at the bottom surrounded by pine plum, chrysanthemum and bamboo branches. Above this motif are rock formations trees, flowers, a pavilion, and two flying cranes. The motif in yellow, green, red, brown, gray and white is surrounded by graduating white background. The cranes are accented with white embroidery and there is some gold couching and gold paint. There are five mon family crests in the shape of the Kiri leaf and blossom which represent the donor's Father's family. The collar is wide so that it can be doubled and the sleeves are long with squared corners. The kimono is lined with red silk.
