Black satin hat with turned up velvet brim. Red-orange cotton lining. Black satin band around lower edge with blue cotton string attached at each side. Black velvet turned up brim worn around top. Inside of velvet brim is lined with black silk satin from which comes crown of hat, also black silk satin on which is circular stitching. On top stitching is 8 wedge-shapes. Small hole in center. Lining is red-orange cotton lapped over inside to form a circle. Black satin band around lower edge with faded blue cotton covered string attached at each side and knotted in the middle.
